British Court: in Vitro Embryo for Cure OK

This article is about British couples can have babies in vitro for curing their sick children. The Hashmis family has tried to produce a child with tissue compatible, but they had a abortion. Some people argue that it could cause the creation of babies for spare parts.

I'm not sure weather it is wrong or not. We can discuss it is helpful for sick children or it just cause abortion and the creation of babies for spare parts.

3 percent follow health advice

According to this news, only 3percent American people are conform to health advice. Those health advices include keeping the weight off, excercise regularly, eat five or more servings of fruit and vegetables a day and avoid smoking. And, in the news of 'New food triangle',they said that U.S. Agiculture Department create an internet based advisory. However, this program doesn't seem to work for the people who really need it. Also, they report how many peopledie from being obese or overweight.
In my opinion, every people want to be healthy both physically and emotionally.however, like the news said, nobody follows health advice all four goals. To being healthy, we need to do more work and excercise. And, U.S. government shoud pay attention more to the people with poor eating and a lack of exercise.

Three new networks seek gay audience

My article talks about gay and lesbian TV program. There are three networks which are trying to get gay and lesbian audience. One of these MTV networks' Logo would start service on June 30 as a basic cable network. They are sure about being successful. "There is definitely an audience out there that is hungry to see their stories being told," said Romine who is entartainment media director for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

In my opinion, it would succeed. There are a lot of people who are gay or lesbian. They want to watch their love story and documentary, and so on. Also, it could remove prejudice toward them if the networks could get another audience.

Sports Drinks: Who Needs Them?

This article is about the sports drinks. We have too much choice of neon-colored sports drinks and Americans spent over $5.4 billion on last year.
In this article, there are two different opinions. One is that sports drinks have little value to the average user. And the other is that sports drinks are healthy and safe, and have fewer calories than sodas and skim milks.
Do we need sports drinks or not?

To use text messages and e-mail is harmful

This article is about how using text messages and e-mail can lower the IQ more than twice as much as smoking marijuana. When I read this article, I was so surprised. I always use the e-mail and text messages. High technology does not always give us good points. We can not do without e-mail, text messages on nowadays. We depend on these stuff too much. We should chage our life style before the technology conquers us.

    Teens Becoming "Generation Rx"

The article, Teens Becoming "Generation Rx" talks about why teenagers are using painkillers as a drug to get high. Those painkillers are such as Vicodin, Oxycontin, Ritalin/Aderall and they are much more easier to get than a illegal drug. Also those painkillers affect same as a illegal drug. Lastly, According to researches high percentage of teenagers are doing those painkillers to get high.

In my opinion, the worse thing is using some drug and become an addictive to something.Sometimes teenagers can not understant this situation but in the future this affects to many thing in their lifes. I really hope that today's teenagers will stop doing painkillers as an illegal drug.

20 arrested in crackdown on Internet pharmacies

According this news, the police arrested 20 people who sold the drugs on the internet. It is the only purpose to earn money from people who want drugs. It is somewhat an easy way for the drug abusers to get drugs like amphetamines very quickly. Even if the internet is very convenient, it becomes a hotbed for criminal gangs. The government should make some regulations to avoid the criminal happening again.

    Lower-sugar cereal no advantage

Experts point out that "new lower-sugar versons of cereal" have not no nutritional advantage comparing with full-sugar cereal as contain the same calories, carbohydrates, fat, fiber and other nutrients. Lower-sugar cereal dose not have any benefit for even kids or diabetics from a health point of view but its sale is increasing.
I think if lower-sugar cereal is not useful to people who want to low calories and healtier food, it is improper that companies sale it as receive higher price than regular cereal' price. In addition, it could confuse customer.

    Bad oral health plagues Americans

A third of Americans fail to see a dentist even once a year. Tooth decay is the most common chronic childhood disease — half of first-graders already have a cavity. The biggest problems are access to care and lack of proper preventive services.

Well, the main factor of periodontal diseases and oral cavities is plaque. plaque defined simply as compenation of food debries and oral bacteria. what is the problem her is it, poeple are poor in oral hygiene or they don't care to get there dental insurance.

Lighters now banned on U.S. flights

In the article entitled "Lighters now banned on U.S. flights", from the CNN website, the author introduces that the United States prohibits dangerous items, such as guns and knives that can be stowed in checked bags since 9/11. Furthermore, last year, congress passed a bill that lighters are banned onboard aircraft. On April, 14, the United States started to enforce a new law that lighters cannot be carried in the airport, or inside of checked bags, however matches are allowed.

I think that the ban of lighter is pointless on an airplane because the United States allows matches when they prohibit lighters. However this law is beneficial to the security of all citizens traveling in and out of the Unites States.

    Italy disputes U.S. shooting account

This news tell us about the issue of relationship between U.S. and Italy. Italy disputes U.S. shooting account On friday, March 5th, freed Itailan hostage Giuliana Sgrena was hit by gunfire from U.S. army and her security agent was killed by their gunfire. According to Italian minister, U.S. forces might have deliberately targeted the Italians.

I also think that U.S. military might have deliberately shot the Italians. Unlike the U.S. government said, there was clear reason not to shot the Italians. Because, the Italian government paid for ransom and they were escaping from Iraq terrorist.

This article describes the technique will enable us to smell, taste, and touch in video game as virtual reality. Sony Corp. has obtained this patent. In addition, this technology helps person who are blind or deaf see a view or hear sounds without medicines.
In my opinion, I wonder if blind or deaf person can get satisfied in virtual reality even though this technology is safe to the human body. And I also think this technology might be too much for us if it is used in video game.

Clones' beef, milk same as regular

    From USA TODAY.com
Clones' beef, milk same as regular

    Summary
The scientists said that there is no difference between meat and milk from cloned livestock and those food obtained from conventionally bred cattle, according to a study.
Cloned animals at about $20.000 to create now.
There is now no law governing the sale of cloned meat or milk.
But if the FDA approve the consumption of clones, one such a animal will be created quickly and the cost of clone will be more cheaper than now.

    My opinion
I think that only God can create life on earth. Cloning for study is available and good, but cloning for food is a dangerous idea. And it is not certain whether cloned food is harmful for humans or not, even after many years. So I disagree with this idea.

    Family Drama

This article, "Family drama", is about the British Royal's wedding. Some British think this wedding should not be allowed because Camilla is not the royal's and Charles should choose one between the throne and the love. But the others think this wedding is a romantic wedding (soap opera wedding)and a fruition of 35 year's love. Anyway, this wedding is one of the biggest issue controversial.

I think that Charles achieved his first love , but he will keep face blames from the dynasty or could not get the throne. I'm not sure if their dynasty could keep a royal family or not. What do you think about it?

The article Dancing away obesity talks about, how can a person defeat obesity by playing a dancing game. Basically this is pretty easy, your main purpose in the game is try to follow arrows on the screen and try to step on them on the platform.

I think that, this dancing game is really cheaper than any other things to lose weight. Also this dancing game is pretty fun for children and it encourages obese people to lose their weights.

Kansas voters overwhelmingly approve gay marrage ban

This article is about gay marriage. The ban reaffirms the state’s longstanding policy of recognizing only marriages between one man and one woman. In my opinion, before I came to the America, I thought same-sex marriages are crazy thinking. However, if they would be happier than before they get married, it may not be bad. Although they are homosexual, they can have their own right for happiness within the limits which are nobody would be harmed.

Kids who watch TV more likely to bully

The children will imitate bad and good things on TV. In other words, the children will imitate to offend the law. Bully is always happen on drama or TV show. It would make children to learn and imitate bad words quickly when they study in elementary school. Why they become TV's children? The most of reasons are that their parents have lots of work, so the television instead of parents to take care of children. Parents have to encourage and study along their children that could decrease their time to watch TV.

    U.S. to tighten border controls

Now, Americans do not need to show a passport when they come back U.S. from Canada or Mexico. However, Americans will need to show a passport after 2008, because U.S. government thinks U.S. border regulations should be stricter for protecting from terrorism.
I think this regulation can be little success. But, U.S. government cannot prevent that terrorists enter the U.S.
